Relay is built and published by the team at relaykeyboard.com, reachable any time at info@relaykeyboard.com. Every download on this site is built, packaged and published by us, and only ever served from relaykeyboard.com. If you got a Relay installer anywhere else, don't run it. Get it from here.
Every Windows release ships with published SHA-256 checksums at /downloads/checksums.txt. To check yours, open PowerShell and run:
Get-FileHash .\RelayDesktop.zip -Algorithm SHA256
If the value matches the published one, your download is byte-for-byte the file we released. The app's built-in updater performs this same integrity check automatically.
Relay for Windows is a new app from an independent publisher, so Microsoft SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run it. That notice reflects how new a file is, not whether it's safe. It disappears as more people install Relay. Click More info → Run anyway. Relay is scanned by Microsoft Defender (zero detections) and you can verify the checksum above first. A Microsoft Store listing, where installs never show SmartScreen, is in progress.
Your vault is encrypted on your device. The keyboard has no internet permission. Anything you sync travels as ciphertext we cannot decrypt: we hold the lock, never the key. The full detail lives in our Privacy & Security page.
