The plain-language version, without a click through to the privacy policy. Everything here is true today, and you can check most of it yourself in under a minute.
Encrypted on your device. Your vault is locked with a key that's generated and stored on your phone. It stays on your phone unless you choose to sync, and sync is encrypted end to end.
Relay has no server that can read your vault. We built it so we couldn't look even if we wanted to: what we store for sync is ciphertext, and we don't hold the key.
Face ID or fingerprint, every time, for bank, card, passport and ID items. Everyday items still insert from the keyboard without it.
Works offline. Relay doesn't need a connection to save, search or insert your details, because there's nowhere it needs to send them.
Sync is optional, and end-to-end encrypted. Turn it on to share your vault between your own devices; leave it off and nothing ever leaves your phone.
Turn on Airplane Mode. Open Relay. Everything still works. Saving an item, searching your vault, and inserting details from the keyboard don't need a connection, because none of it is going anywhere. That's the proof, not just the claim.
