Relay Keyboard: Encrypted Sync, No Account Required (The Details People Keep Asking For, One Tap Away)

The Relay Team · 20 July 2026 · 4 min read

Relay keeps your Emirates ID, IBAN and trade licence stored encrypted on your device, with no account required and end-to-end encrypted phone↔PC sync when you want it.

Why Relay is Different

Relay is built around a simple rule: your vault is yours, and it stays on your phone unless you decide otherwise.

  • No Account Required: No sign-up, no email, no profile. You download Relay and start using it. There's no account to breach because there's no account.
  • Stored Encrypted on Your Device: Your Emirates ID, IBAN, trade licence details and anything else you save sit in an encrypted vault on the device itself, not on a server somewhere waiting to be asked for.
  • End-to-End Encrypted Sync, If You Want It: Sync is opt-in. When you turn it on, your vault is encrypted on your phone before it travels and only decrypted on your PC. What crosses the wire is ciphertext.
  • Built For What The UAE Actually Asks For: Emirates ID, IBAN, trade licence, visa details, tenancy numbers. The fields that come up weekly here, ready before you're asked.

But How Does Sync Work Without an Account?

Fair question. It's the first one anyone privacy-minded asks, so here's the honest answer.

Pairing doesn't go through a login. You open Relay on your PC, it shows a code, and you scan or enter that code on your phone. That handshake is what establishes the shared key between your two devices: the phone and the PC agree on it directly, and that key never leaves them.

That's why there's no account: identity is the pair of devices you physically hold, not a username in a database. It also means if you ever want to cut the link, you unpair on either device and the shared key is gone.

How It Works

  1. Type as usual: Relay looks and feels like any other keyboard.
  2. Tap to save: store a detail once, in your on-device encrypted vault.
  3. Tap to insert: it drops into whatever field you're in, exactly right, first time.
  4. Pair to sync (optional): scan a code on your PC and your vault reaches your desktop, end-to-end encrypted.

For Expats, Freelancers, and Small Businesses

  • Expats: Emirates ID, visa number, tenancy contract reference: the details every form, every landlord and every bank in the country wants, without the gallery scroll.
  • Freelancers: IBAN, trade licence number, TRN. Send an invoice from your phone without switching apps to find the numbers that go on it.
  • Small Businesses: Trade licence, company IBAN, establishment card details: kept encrypted on the device, shared in a tap, and paired to the desktop where the real paperwork happens.

The Details People Keep Asking For, One Tap Away

Relay isn't a privacy product that happens to type. It's a keyboard that happens to be private, because the safest place for your Emirates ID is the phone in your pocket, not a screenshot in a chat thread.

No more retyping. No more screenshots. No more digging.
