Introducing Relay: stop retyping your life.

Michael · Founder · 13 July 2026 · 4 min read

Today Relay is live on Windows and Android, with iPhone in beta. It's a keyboard that carries the details and documents people keep asking you for, and answers in one tap, in any app. This is why it exists.

The ask that never stops

Somewhere between moving country, renting a home, running a company and just being a person with a bank account, your life became a form. A courier wants the villa number and a pin. A clinic wants your insurance card. A supplier wants the trade licence. Once again, a bank wants the passport you have sent them four times.

Password managers solved logins years ago. But logins were never the problem. The rest of the paperwork was. The passport number you look up in your camera roll. The IBAN you copy from a note titled "bank stuff". The address you retype with a typo at the worst moment.

We counted one week: forty-one requests for details we'd already sent someone else.

Why a keyboard

Because the keyboard is the one surface that's already there in every app. Not another app to switch to, not a browser extension that only works in the browser. The actual place where the question arrives is where the answer should live.

So Relay works like this: save a detail once: type it, or point the camera at a passport and let it read the details on-device. Then, in any chat, form or email, hold the globe key, pick Relay, and your vault appears under your thumbs. Tap the tile. Sent. The scan and the details travel together, formatted properly, with no typos, in about a second.

Private by architecture

A keyboard that holds your passport has to answer one question convincingly: why should I trust you? Our answer is that you shouldn't have to. Your vault is end-to-end encrypted, which means we can never read it, and on Android the keyboard ships without the internet permission, so the operating system itself blocks it from transmitting anything. No account required, no analytics on your vault, and it refuses to type into password fields. The privacy page walks through every claim, and most of them you can verify yourself in your phone's settings.

Where it's going

Relay is free to start, and the everyday habit stays free. Relay Pro adds document scans, phone ↔ PC sync and Family Share; Relay for business gives a whole team the company's paperwork, one tap each. iPhone and Mac are next. Join the beta and you'll get them the moment they land.

Stop retyping your life. Relay it.
